Nat & nin was born from a family history where the past, the present and the future mix to give life to a universal story where everyone can recognize themselves.
Ninny and Nathalie's parents, who arrived from China in the 1980s, were leatherworkers for French houses. Their Paris studio, near the Canal St Martin, was where they spent most of their holidays. After being immersed in this environment for many years, it is only natural that they develop a passion for creation, for leather and bags in particular.
They both embarked on the nat & nin adventure in 2005, at the age of 19 and 24:
Nathalie at the heart of the creations and development of the collection and Ninny in charge of the management of the house.

“I was 7 years old when I arrived in France to find my parents and my sisters. Today, I can't help but feel humbled and proud. Humility because as the child of an immigrant I managed to live my "French dream", proud because we can reconcile family life (mother of 3 boys) and female entrepreneurship, proud to be a company on a human scale, independent (without investors) and free.”

“Already when I was little, I can see myself taking naps on the leathers in the workshop, and playing with scraps to make costumes and bags. When I was 19, I had to make a decision between my wish to continue studying and the choice of reason which was to help my parents and dedicate myself to nat & nin. The journey has been long and full of pitfalls, like any entrepreneurial adventure. But I don't regret it when I see how far we've come since.”
