Grained leather

Italy. Full-grain calfskin, corrected or embossed grain. The item has a very soft and waxy feel. Slightly opaque appearance.

The beauty ritual for radiant skin!

Step 1: clean and/or pre-treat

a. Regular maintenance cleaning: your grained leather needs gentle cleaning. Weekly dry cleaning with the Oval Brush will remove superficial stains or dust.

b. Occasional deep cleaning: you can deep clean with Cleaning Jelly or Cleaning Lotion to remove superficial stains and even out the entire leather, applying with a clean cloth or a Chamois cloth.

c. Stain removal or restoration: For deep and difficult stains, you can turn to specific products such as Hussard Ballpoint Pen Stain Remover or Saphir's universal RENO’MAT stain remover (not sold here).

Step 2: Nurture

a. Hydration: After or without cleaning from step 1, use your finger to massage in a nourishing and slightly waterproofing treatment using Universal Cream. After allowing time for absorption, you can buff with the Chamoisine for a glossy finish.

b. Restoration: For restoring worn, scratched, and UV-faded smooth leather, you can use a deep pigment dye such as Saphir's CREME RENOVATRICE or JUVACUIR (not sold here; contact the brand with a photo to obtain the color chart and usage instructions).

Step 3: protect

Waterproofing: a ritual to be performed regularly on grained leather, once a month.

Spray the Waterproofer from 20 cm away. It has a high fluorinated resin content, leaving a water-repellent layer that protects against bad weather and dirt (minimizes but does not prevent deep stains or color transfer from raw denim, hydro-alcoholic gel, etc.).
