We carefully select the most beautiful leathers for the manufacture of our leather goods, focusing particularly on full-grain cowhide, a noble material that retains its original surface.
Some of our leathers come from Veneto, Italy, where we collaborate with our partner tanneries to create original and unique colors each season. Natural markings and subtle variations in color and grain make each piece unique and authentic.
Small visible imperfections, such as scars or color variations, are an integral part of the beauty of full-grain leather and testify to its character. To preserve the radiance of your pieces, it is essential to maintain them regularly, using suitable products to nourish and protect the leather, in order to maintain its beauty and longevity.
Stain problems must be addressed very quickly to prevent the leather coating from being eroded. Don't delay! If you react quickly, you can limit the damage. Beware of seemingly good ideas! Also, be careful with the cleaning products you use: some products are not suitable for all types of leather and can change its appearance, texture, alter its color, or even stain it further.
Leather remains an organic material and, like our skin, requires care. Over time, leather evolves and acquires a patina, manifesting as variations in color and texture. Regular maintenance is crucial for certain leathers (especially "Peau de Pêche") beyond occasional stain removal, to prevent premature deterioration due to lack of care. It is recommended to pay special attention to possible color transfers. There are two scenarios: your clothing may bleed onto the leather, or your bag may bleed onto your clothing. Therefore, avoid contact with coats and raw textiles that bleed (such as dark jeans or new clothes); their colored pigments can transfer to the leather and irreversibly damage the bag. Conversely, be careful when carrying a brightly colored or dark bag! In general, avoid pairing light-colored leather with dark clothing (e.g., raw denim) and vice versa. If in doubt, err on the side of caution!
Certain exposures (dust, water, heat, UV rays from the sun and moon, humidity levels, liquid or greasy substances) and climatic variations can lead to premature aging or lightening of the leather. It is therefore recommended to store the bag in its protective cover, away from light and humidity, in a clean, dry, and airy place. To protect your bag from the elements, remember to brush and waterproof it regularly according to our advice by material type.
