Origin Italy. Full-grain cowhide, natural grain. Waxed feel, smooth and semi-glossy appearance. Timeless and robust, this leather offers a silky, very sensual feel and develops a delicate patina over time. This leather has a protective film due to the smoothing operation.

The beauty ritual for radiant skin!

Step 1: clean and/or pre-treat


a. Regular maintenance cleaning: your smooth leather needs to be cleaned gently. Weekly dry cleaning with the Oval Brush will remove superficial stains or dust.


b. Occasional deep cleaning: you can carry out a deeper cleaning using the Cleaning Jelly or Cleaning Lotion to remove superficial stains and even out all the leather, to be applied with a clean cloth or a Chamoisine.


c. Stain removal or restoration: For deep and difficult stains, you can turn to specific products such as the Hussard Pen Stain Remover or Saphir's universal RENO’MAT stain remover (not sold here).

Step 2: Nurture


a. Hydration: After or without cleaning from step 1, massage a nourishing and slightly waterproofing treatment into the leather with your finger using Crème Universelle. After an absorption time, you can polish with the Chamoisine for a glossy finish.


b. Restoration: For restoring worn, scratched, and UV-faded smooth leather, you can use a deep pigment dye such as Saphir's CREME RENOVATRICE or JUVACUIR (not sold here; contact the brand with a photo to obtain the color chart and usage advice).

Step 3: Protect


Waterproofing: a ritual to be performed regularly on smooth leather, once a month.

Spray the Fluororesin-rich Waterproofing Spray from a distance of 20 cm to create a water-repellent layer that will protect against bad weather and dirt (minimizes but does not prevent deep stains or color transfer from raw denim, hydro-alcoholic gel, etc.).
