We work every day to make our production more responsible, our materials more sustainable, and our practices more environmentally friendly.
Here are the main pillars that illustrate our commitments.
Since our beginnings in 2005, we have been working with the same workshop in China.
Each employee is known individually, creating a close and trusting relationship based on respect and transparency.
The choice of China reflects both the founders' roots and their desire to offer accessible leather bags, while drawing on unique craftsmanship. Our partner workshop is regularly audited and complies with all applicable social and environmental standards.
Employees benefit from safe working conditions, continuous training to develop their expertise, and thrive in an inclusive and respectful environment, ensuring that each bag embodies our style, quality, and human commitment.
At nat & nin, we design our production in such a way as to limit its environmental impact.
Our leathers are sourced from the food industry and all come from tanneries certified Gold or Silver by the Leather Working Group (LWG), guaranteeing more responsible practices regarding animal welfare, water, energy, and chemical management. We also incorporate vegetable-tanned leathers and alternative materials into our collections.
Since 2020, all our new models feature a recycled cotton lining, a more sustainable alternative to traditional cotton.
Finally, our workshop is equipped with solar panels, contributing to a progressive reduction of the energy footprint associated with production.
In order to limit our carbon footprint, we favour maritime transport.
We have also developed 100% recycled and recyclable in-store bags for our shops, and are following the same approach for our online sales packaging.
These choices reflect our desire to extend our environmental commitment every day.
Each Nat & Nin bag is designed to stand the test of time with elegance. We offer care advice and repair solutions to extend the lifespan of our products and reduce waste. We go even further with a second-hand initiative organized monthly in our Beaumarchais store: customers can bring in an old Nat & Nin bag and receive a voucher in exchange.
In 2025, this initiative enabled us to collect 243 items as part of the ReSac operation.
The collected bags are then either refurbished by us and offered for sale at very affordable prices, or donated to an organization dedicated to social reintegration. Through this approach, nat & nin aims to encourage a more circular, socially responsible, and ethical fashion industry. In a society of overconsumption, we are committed to conveying a powerful message: prioritize sustainability over fleeting trends.
