A story of family

nat & nin was born from a family story where past, present, and future intertwine to create a universal narrative in which everyone can see themselves.

Ninny and Nathalie's parents, who arrived from China in the 1980s, were leather goods manufacturers for French brands. Their Parisian workshop, near the Canal St Martin, was where they spent most of their holidays. Having grown up immersed in this environment for many years, it was only natural for them to develop a passion for creation, for leather, and for bags in particular.

In 2005, at the ages of 19 and 24, they both embarked on the nat & nin adventure:
Nathalie at the heart of creations and collection development, and Ninny in charge of managing the brand.

Ninny

“I was 7 years old when I arrived in France to join my parents and my sisters. Today, I can't help but feel both humble and proud. Humble because as an immigrant child I managed to live my "French dream," proud because you can reconcile family life (mother of 3 boys) and female entrepreneurship, proud to be a human-sized, independent (without investors) and free company.”

Nathalie

"Even when I was very little, I remember napping on the leather in the workshop and playing with scraps to make costumes and bags. When I was 19, I had to make a decision between my desire to continue my studies and the sensible choice of helping my parents and dedicating myself to nat & nin. The journey has been long and full of pitfalls, like any entrepreneurial adventure. But I don't regret it when I see how far we've come."

20 years & 4 boutiques later, the wish remains the same: Offer quality handbags, suitable for women's daily use, that are made to last.
